Today we got up earlier than usual to go to Faith Village to have a devotional with our team and some of the FVA staff. We spent some time worshiping, sharing testimonies of what God had done for us, and then Maxx shared a devotional. We headed outside to spend time with the kids. When they saw us they all ran over and crowded around us, hugged us, and gave us high fives. We played games, sang songs, and they showed us how well they could count and sing the alphabet in English. They enjoyed braiding our hair. My rose shoulder tattoo entertained them as well. They were so full of joy and love for us. Even though we couldn’t really fully communicate, it was awesome to connect with them and love on them. Their joy brought me joy. They would flock around anyone on the team who brought out a camera. They loved posing and smiling for pictures. After hanging out with the kids, we rode back home, showered and hung out as a team. Laura did our devotionals tonight. Today has been a good day to relax and hangout with the kids after two days of work. God has been so good. Pray that God will continue to work through the team, and give us hearts to serve and minister to the people of Rwanda.
