On Safari?

By Randy Mattson

IMG_9391We had an early morning start, we left at 4 am for Akagara park to view the animals. I guess you have to be hunting to be on a safari and we didn’t do any hunting. 3 ½ hours each way in the van gave us time to get to know each other better. 6 hours in the park gave us time for lots of great pictures zebras, giraffes, several kinds of antelope, buffalo, various birds and more, even a monitor lizard on side of the road next to us. It was a long day but lots of fun. We had a picnic lunch near the end of the park and met another couple from Minnesota who were also touring the park. Small world!

It’s been a good trip, lots of chances for growth among the team members. We’ve been working together well. I am enjoying working with the team and its great being in Africa with them.
